VIRIS - Violence Reduction in Schools
Introduction
VIRIS is a project which is being carried out in joint partnership between UKO and the DfES.
The first phase of this research has been completed and involved a detailed literature search to determine elements of good practice. A number of interdisciplinary materials were consulted in order that a broad range of topics would be covered in relation to violence reduction.
This has been finalised as a report "Violence Reduction in Schools" co-authored by Helen Cowie, Carrie Myers and Graham Robb.
The research is in the second phase and is now concerned with the writing and production of training materials for VIRIS.
